Biography

I spent my early childhood growing up in rural Worcestershire where my father was the Headteacher of the local village school.
At the age of 8 we moved into the city of Worcester where I attended St Mary’s Convent School. After A levels I went to Cardiff College of Education to train to be a teacher and it was also that I met my future husband. My specialist subjects where History and English.

After graduating as a teacher, I got my first teaching job at a primary school in Yorkshire. During my teaching career I had written some short stories which I read to my classes over the years and they always seemed to be enthralled. After many years and numerous schools later (including having a family – two sons) I retired and set myself the challenge of fulfilling a lifetime ambition of writing a full length novel.

My first novel Carenza’s Journey (published in August 2013) was the initial fulfilment of my literary ambition. To have my debut novel published was an amazing experience. Bitten by the "literary bug", I wrote my second novel Carenza's Heirs, a sequel to Carenza’s Journey (published in May 2014), and a third novel The Secrets Of Westborough Hall (published in November 2015). I am shortly to publish my fourth novel The Devine Girls.
